About

Here are the basics about me:

I am a California girl (not the awesome part of California, the Fresno-is-crappy part) who moved to Washington, DC to attend American University. I major in International Studies with a concentration in International Development and Middle Eastern affairs. I’ve taken Arabic for 2.5 years and still have no clue what I’m doing.

I was planning on studying in Cairo at the American University in Cairo for the spring 2011 semester. I arrived January 21. January 25, a revolution started. February 1, I was evacuated to Istanbul, then shipped to Rabat, Morocco for my new, unexpected, study abroad program.

I LIKE TO COOK, TRAVEL, and eat pretty much anything you put in front of me. Except ham and turkey and pudding.

I’m not a fan of (besides ham and turkey) hangnails, stuff in my eye, and superiority complexes.

djinn attack!

I’m fending off djinn in Morocco on a daily basis. You know, general stuff.
